We want you to be satisfied with AniMate (萌灵). AniMate is sold by channing xiao, an individual software developer. This Refund Policy explains when you may request a refund for your one-time license purchase. Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider acting as Merchant of Record.
1. 14-day refund window
You may request a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase date, provided:
- The license key has not been activated on more than one (1) device, or
- You contact us with a valid reason (e.g., the Software does not run on your supported system and we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time)
Because AniMate is digital software delivered instantly, refunds may be declined if the license has been widely activated, shared, or used beyond a good-faith evaluation period.
2. How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] with your order email, purchase date, and reason for the request.
- Include your order or receipt reference if available (from your purchase confirmation email).
- We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed by our payment processor to your original payment method.
You may also contact our payment processor directly for billing inquiries using the contact information on your purchase receipt.
3. After a refund is approved
- Your license key will be revoked and the full version will no longer activate.
- You should uninstall the Software or continue using the free trial tier only.
- Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
4. Non-refundable situations
Refunds are generally not available when:
- More than 14 days have passed since purchase (unless required by local consumer law)
- The license was purchased during a clearly marked non-refundable promotion (if any)
- Abuse is detected (e.g., repeated purchase-and-refund cycles, license sharing)
- The issue is caused by unsupported hardware, OS versions, or third-party VRM models you imported
5. Technical issues first
Before requesting a refund, please contact [email protected]. Many issues (activation, compatibility, configuration) can be resolved quickly. We are happy to help you get AniMate running on a supported system.
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank without contacting us first, your license may be suspended pending investigation. Please email us so we can resolve the issue directly.
7. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory refund or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country (e.g., EU/UK digital content regulations where applicable).
