AplayBox VRM Models: 22 Verified Picks You Can Import Directly
AplayBox (模之屋) is the model community you can reach reliably from mainland China — and beyond its famous PMX/MMD library, creators also publish true VRM conversions. Every entry below was opened and verified on 2026-09-12: format, license summary, and download conditions are listed per model. Most models require a (free) AplayBox account, and some ask you to follow/like the creator first.
Why this page exists
VRoid Hub hosts the largest VRM library but can be slow or unreachable from mainland China, and AplayBox is better known for PMX files that need Blender conversion. The middle path is exactly this list: VRM-format models hosted domestically, downloadable with a Chinese phone number, importable into AniMate as-is.

How to read the license columns
"License summary" condenses the AplayBox distribution rules shown on each model page; the model page is always authoritative. Many entries are marked "video production only" by their authors — if you plan a desktop-pet use, that is a different context, so double-check the model page terms before importing. "Download requires" lists the interaction conditions (follow, like, favorite) AplayBox enforces before the download button unlocks.
Import takes three steps
Open AniMate, right-click your desktop character to enter the Workshop, click Add companion and pick the downloaded .vrm file. Full details in the import guide.
