Yae Miko VRM Model: Similar File Size, 4x the Joints
Yae Miko has two downloadable versions with very similar file sizes (3.1 MB and 3.6 MB) but quite different contents: the Madoka-Senpai build uses 112 joints and 47 blend shapes, while the FuriousM build has 456 joints and 66 blend shapes. FuriousM is also the only one that allows redistribution.

The files differ by only 0.5 MB, yet the Madoka-Senpai build has 112 joints against FuriousM's 456 — four times as many.
Material slots diverge even more: 4 versus 25, which tells you the FuriousM build models the outfit far more completely.

What it looks like on your desktop
Yae Miko's pink-purple palette and fox ears make her highly recognisable, especially on light wallpapers.
The lighter build is well suited to staying resident — 3.1 MB has almost no impact on other programs.
| Setting | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Wallpaper match | Soft pink or light wallpapers coordinate best; dark ones grey out the pink-purple |
| Suggested scale | Both scale normally; the FuriousM build holds detail better when shrunk |
| Default placement | Right side or lower edge; the fox ears suit an edge placement |
| Running several at once | Neither is heavy — two or three on screen is fine |

Similar file size, entirely different contents
Yae Miko is the clearest case of file size being misleading: the two builds differ by 0.5 MB, but the joints go 112 against 456 and the material slots 4 against 25. The FuriousM build simply packs more geometry and material into a similarly compressed file. Decide by purpose — if she is just going to sit on your desktop, the Madoka-Senpai build is the lighter choice; if you plan to record or display her, only the FuriousM build has the detail. The official PMX is on AplayBox and needs converting.
